About me

For over fifteen years, I have worked as a filmmaker on a wide range of productions, always guided by the same belief: a strong story has the power to move people. In recent years, my focus has increasingly shifted toward documentaries and documentary-style films, where real stories can truly come to life.

The moment someone watches a film and is genuinely moved never loses its magic. When everything comes together: the story, the rhythm, the music, there is always that first smile or tear that reveals it has truly landed. That moment is deeply rewarding.

Depending on the project, I work with a small team in the role of producer/director, or I handle the production from start to finish myself. Over the years, I have built a trusted network of creative partners, filmmakers at heart, with whom I enjoy working.

My style

Authenticity over perfection
I believe genuine moments resonate more than carefully staged images.
The narrative arc
A film should hold your attention; I shape the story to keep you watching.
At ease on camera
The most compelling stories emerge in an atmosphere where people feel free to be themselves.
15+ years of experience
Over the years, I have learned which choices make a story stronger.
Quality in a broader sense
For me, quality is reflected not only in the end result, but also in the way we work together: professional, reliable, and enjoyable.

Highlighted productions

Follow the Signs is a documentary series about a family travelling across Europe to support farmers who work with nature, yet struggle within the current system. We follow their shared journey as they attempt to put their 1000 Year Vision into practice: searching for and building toward a future in which farmers can thrive, rather than merely survive.

LifeCycle tells the life story of motocross legend Pierre Karsmakers: the “Flying Dutchman” who left The Netherlands for the United States and rose to become an icon. Framed by his participation in a veterans’ race in Italy, the film looks back on fame, setbacks, and the continual act of reinventing oneself.

De Briljante Mislukking looks back on seven years of struggle in a small village that set out to break free from natural gas, driven by idealism and a concrete alternative that seemed within reach. Through the eyes of the initiative’s founders, the film shows how a citizen-led movement collides with systems and politics, and what lessons can be drawn from that experience for the future.

Een stad. Vier Gezichten. (One City. Four Faces) takes you through 100 years of Veldhoven, from rural village to high-tech city, told through a series of personal portraits. Through both well-known and lesser-known residents, a rich and human story unfolds: about music, work, struggle, and culture. A journey through time, for all generations.

60 Years of J. van Esch tells the story of a family business where the outdoors runs deep: starting with one man and a lawn mower, now carried forward by three generations. A human portrait of working together, craftsmanship, and sixty years of shaping the landscape.

Kempenbaan West tells the story of an infrastructure project unprecedented for Veldhoven: the construction of a new access road designed to better connect the region. Beyond the concrete and asphalt, the film focuses above all on the human side.
